Review:

The Skins Series 1 Shorts are a mid-length compression short that is extremely comfortable. Personally, I prefer the mid-thigh compression shorts over the lower thigh. The Skins material is extremely soft and comfortable while maintaining high degrees of compression. The thinness of the material allows great breathability which is important in the hip/thigh region. The waistband is significantly more comfortable than the 2XU waistband. Its elastic thin band makes sure to hold the shorts tightly in place without digging uncomfortably into your waist. Each aspect of this short, including the seam placement, is designed for maximum comfort for the athlete. Because compression material sits tightly to your skin, any poorly made sections or tougher materials stand out significantly. I think the Skins Series 1 use the perfect materials combined with the perfect design to ensure maximum comfort and breathability is achieved, while still providing extremely effective compression.

The shorts come in multiple sizes ranging from S to XXL which offers the right fit for everyone. I found the sizing guide to be very accurate and the product fits true to this guide. I think the profile of the shorts suits all different body shapes and will provide quality compression throughout all sections.

Because the shorts aren't affected by contact with the court, which would potentially create tears, the shorts lasted me 2 years before I noticed some small signs of general wear. I was extremely impressed with their durability and quality level of design and manufacturing which makes this garment great value for money.

My verdict: These are my favourite compression shorts on the market. I love the light feel which provides maximum comfort and breathability. The shape and shorter length of these shorts were exceptional. They are a top quality product that will last a long time.

Value: $70 AUD - Quite reasonable price for a high end product!
